Challenging Power has been accepted to the New Orleans Middle East Film Festival. The film is scheduled to screen on December 11 @ 6:00 p.m. with the documentary Gaza-Strophe.

Zeitgeist Multi-disciplinary Arts Center has been bringing alternative art to New Orleans since November 1986 (25 years and still counting). They operate without any paid staff or public funds.

Challenging Power has been selected for the 2011 Building Change Film Festival, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The Building Change Film Festival is one of the major components of Building Change: a Convergence for Social Justice that will be held October 13-15, 2011 at the Sen. John Heinz Regional History Center. The Convergence is a grassroots, movement building conference with participatory workshops at which participants will learn about current issues and share their skills to make real impact. The keynote speaker this year is Winona LaDuke.

Challenging Power – Free Screening

Join CAIA in Toronto as we host Filmmaker Johan Genberg for a screening of his documentary Challenging Power and a discussion about the film.

On July 15, 2010, the Olympia Food Co-op became the first grocery store in the United States to boycott Israeli products. Challenging Power is a series of reflections on the decision to boycott, its significance, and the role it plays in the process of social change. Olympia, Washington-based documentary filmmaker, Johan Genberg, will be in Toronto to discuss the film, the boycott campaign and what it has meant in Olympia.
